Oxygen Transport to Tissue XIV

Part of the book series: Advances in Experimental Medicine and Biology ((AEMB,volume 317))

Abstract

As early as 1907 Goldmann [4] made the observation that the vascular density of normal tissue surrounding a tumor is increased. Since that time many investigations were conducted to study tumor growth and neovascularisation as well as oxygen supply to tumor [8,9].
