Abstract

In clinical situations such as vascular occlusion and for basic research the oxygen pressure distribution in the diseased tissue may be of great importance. Tissue pO2 distribution can be measured with a commercially available pO2 histograph (Eppendorf-Netheler-Hinz GmbH, Hamburg, Germany). Since the instrument was developed in the early 1980s, the operating system uses a CP/M compatible format that was common at that time, but is incompatible with today’s MS-DOS PCs.
