Abstract

Mexico’s financial reform, deregulation and privatization of commercial banks must be seen as part of the structural efforts undertaken to modernize the economy and redefine the role of the state. Liberalization has been carried out to procure financial deepening and the healthy development of the financial system that will sustain growth.
