Abstract

The objectives of this analysis are:

  1. 1.

To provide a basis for comparison of different shipments of each raw material for their consistency.

  2. 2.

To provide a data point which, when combined with particle size distribution via the calculation of PCI (Particle Crowding Index), further provides calculated values of the characteristics of powder physics which predict their performance in ceramic processing.

  3. 3.

To provide a comparison with the methylene blue index test (MBI) for evaluation of expected chemical and rheological response.
