Abstract

The particle physics of a body has a major controlling effect on the reaction paths that occur during firing. Particle size distribution, packing, porosity, pore size distribution, surface area, PCI, homogeneity, and agglomeration states all contribute to the kinetics and to the specifics of the reaction pathways.
