Vibron Model Description of Atom-Molecule Collisions

  • Chapter

Abstract

Using the vibron model and a coherent-state method we construct a three-dimensional Hamiltonian for the description of atom-diatom collisions. In the limit of one-dimensional collisions we are able to reproduce the energy transfer behavior for the interaction between an atom and a Morse oscillator.
