Abstract
Ladies and Gentlemen, Members of the Community of Nakajo, it is a special pleasure for me to speak to you today in this Niigata-Illinois Friendship Hall. I am particularly happy to contribute to the development of Japanese-American relations and to a better understanding of one another. I am very grateful to Professor Bruno Gruber for organizing this Symposium with speakers from both East and West.
