Abstract
The initiation of peritonitis in patients on continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis is accompanied by the influx of neutrophils into the peritoneal cavity. The current study was initiated to examine the HPMC as a possible source of neutrophil chemotactic activity and to characterise the released product and examine its regulation by other cytokines.
