Abstract
Skin tissue fluid and lymph contain migrating immune cells, among them large dendritic (veiled) cells (VC) and lymphocytes 1. These cells are continuously transported with lymph stream to the regional lymph nodes. This way the information about the presence of antigen can be transferred within minutes to the lymph node.2
