Lexical Types and Properties

  • Chapter
Making Hypermedia Work

Abstract

This chapter explains HyTime’s lexical type features and property mechanism. Lexical types allow the specification and use of relatively complex syntactic structures. These can be used to express queries that search data for a structure matching the restrictions, as well as to constrain attributes to match a particular syntax. This powerful mechanism is discussed in Sections 11.2 through 11.6 of this chapter
