Abstract
The repertoire of well-known measures described in Chapter 5 is useful. But it seems inadequate for serving other than relatively basic types of performance assessments. Hence, it is desirable to consider the construction of new and potentially more meaningful, multiaspect measures. This topic is motivated in two ways. First, in Section 7.2, we relate the basic measures to the nodes of the SEE aspects hierarchy presented in Chapter 6. Then, a proposed “interface acceptance test” is analyzed, in Section 7.3, using the terminology developed. It illustrates both what has already been done and the potential for extension to more complex types of tests.
