Abstract

There is growing evidence suggesting that human papillomavirus (HPV) infection is a causal. factor, in the development of cervical. neoplasias and squamous intraepithelial. lesions (SILs) of the anogenital. region1. This provides an impetus to adapt HPV testing for gynecologic screening.
