Abstract
Part II of this book covers the major prerequisites to HCI design and evaluation. Thus far it has included knowledge of each of the target user (Chapter 3), the target application (Chapter 4), the target computer (Chapter 5), how the user and computer can interact (Chapter 6), and ways of representing the HCI components and features by means of static or dynamic models (Chapter 7). This chapter considers a variety of software tools and techniques that have been developed for purposes of assisting in the tasks of interface design and development.
