Protocols for Information Transmission Systems with Feedback

Part of the The Springer International Series in Engineering and Computer Science book series (SECS, volume 335)

In the previous chapters we considered the use of linear codes for error detection (may be with partial correction) and the error detecting capability of these codes. The results apply to the so called simplex communication systems, where we have only a one way channel from user A to user B. When an error is detected in a block, it is marked as unreliable. The further processing may be vary for example, the block may be erased or used critically and so on.
