Abstract
Before describing our research projects, we would like to introduce our institute, the Nara Institute of Science and Technology. It is a national institute with two graduate schools that opened in 1993. The Graduate School of Information Science covers almost all computer science, including parallel and distributed processing, in which our laboratory is involved.
