Abstract
This book was stimulated by a large multi-party multidisciplinary project in the area of computer-assisted authoring and learning. The project, called Nestor, was undertaken jointly by the Universities of Karlsruhe, Kaiserslautern, and Freiburg, Germany, and by the Digital Equipment Corp. Center for Research and Advanced Development, CEC.
