Abstract
As the microtitration plate ELISA is by far the most common immunoassay in current use, the equipment discussed in this chapter will be largely for this format. Several other types of analyses likely to be required in a food analyst’s laboratory, e.g. for mycotoxins, meat speciation, gluten and soya proteins, are available in this format so any equipment purchased is liable to be of wider use than simply for microbiological assays.
