Heterogeneous Catalytic Reactions Using Chiral Auxiliaries and Producing Enantiomers in Excess

  • Chapter
Chiral Reactions in Heterogeneous Catalysis

Abstract

A perusal of the history of organic chemistry and catalysis reveals that more and more emphasis is being placed on asymmetric reactions. The great personalities in organic chemistry, such as Prelog and Corey, very early recognized the importance of asymmetric reactions in organic synthesis. In the last two decades many new methods have been discovered and applied.
