Abstract

Tetrahydroprotoberberines (THPBs), a series of natural products isolated from the Chinese herbs Corydalis and Stephania, have been proven to be novel dopamine (DA) receptor antagonists, among them, (-)-stepholidine (SPD) is a leading compound due to its strong affinity to DA receptors and its peculiar pharmacological characteristics.
