Abstract

Liquid crystal polymers (LCPs) are widely used in high tensile strength fiber materials such as Kevlar and Lydar, which can be found in products such as replacement asbestos, motorcycle helmets, and flame protection suits. However, there is growing research and development interest in using other functional properties of LCPs for optical and electro-optical uses.
