Abstract
The purpose of this chapter is to provide basic required information about the various anticopper drugs. I recommend that prior to initiating treatment of a Wilson’s disease patient, or taking over the therapy of a previously treated patient, that physicians read both this chapter and the following chapter on overview of management in order to become familiar with various aspects of anticopper treatment and management. They can then turn to the chapter on managing their specific type of patient (one of Chapters 6–9).
