Abstract

A review of taxonomic research on Chinese Perlidae shows that twelve foreign entomologists and six Chinese scholars have recorded 165 species of the family from China. In this paper the history, current status, biodiversity, biogeography and phylogeny of Chinese Perlidae is reviewed and some proposals for future research are given.
