Abstract

My decision to write this book was inspired by a feeling of gratitude to the memory of Alexander Romanovich Luria, my teacher and friend. During my twenty-five years of work under his leadership, I came to know Luria closely, and under his influence I was formed not only as a scientist but also in many other personal and professional ways.
