Abstract

Contact dermatitis may be due to exposure to irritants resulting in “irritant contact dermatitis” or to exposure to allergenic substances causing sensitization and subsequent “allergic contact dermatitis.” Both irritant and allergic contact dermatitis are major occupational and nonoccupational diseases
