Summary

In this chapter, we will report on the results of other simulations carried out by the authors (see Paolucci, 2000) on the model described in Chapter 5. New experiments will be described that are based on the introduction of some noise or copying errors into the reputation transmission process.

Findings of experiments run on the authors’ model will be examined at some length. A sort of “prudential algorithm” in reputation transmission will be shown to emerge from our simulations. This result seems to converge with a subset of the expectations that arose from the model of memetic decision outlined in Chapter 6.
