Outcome — Based Neighborhood Search (ONS)

A Concept for Discrete Vector Optimization Problems

Part of the book series: International Series in Operations Research & Management Science ((ISOR,volume 44))

Abstract

In this paper, a concept for an enumerative approach in vector optimization is developed. This concept is based on a two-stage-procedure, identifying efficient solutions in the first stage, and performing a local search in outcome space in the second stage. The paper focuses on the discussion of different neighborhood concepts in outcome space. They are discussed under the aspects of convergence and complexity.
