Abstract
Today’s modern poultry companies devote countless hours to the maintenance of complete records documenting hundreds of facts and figures relating to the business. Such records are necessary to remain competitive, to assist with making numerous management decisions, and to satisfy the requirements of various regulatory agencies. Records may be grouped into various categories such as financial, tax, operational, personnel, regulatory, flock performance, marketing, and accounts receivable and payable. Each division of a company has its own unique record requirements and these must be integrated into a meaningful overall system which can provide the management with all the information needed to make proper decisions affecting the company’s progress and ultimate success.
