Abstract

Total Body Irradiation (TBI) is a procedure performed during the treatment of some disseminated malignancies in patients undergoing bone marrow transplantationl23456,2sTBI has three aims to meet: first, to reduce the population of neoplastic cells, second, to induce immunosupression, and third, to eradicate the recipient’s existing marrow cells so as to create room for newly transplanted marrowl789
