Transition from the Profit to the Nonprofit World
Nonprofit managers understand what is needed to succeed in their sector. Within the context of the classroom, many nonprofit managers came and talked to the displaced managers about their own careers. Instead of teaching in an abstract way, nonprofit managers related their own personal experiences as a way of showing the importance of certain roles and ideas. Their “moral tales” are in fact professional signposts, which describe the most important roles in the nonprofit sector.
