Abstract
The transformation process is used to transform a source grove into a result grove under control of a transformation specification. The result grove of this process may be used as input to a subsequent formatting process. This allows, on the one hand, to reduce the quantity of information to mark up as it can be automatically generated by the transformation process, and on the other hand, to simplify the formatting process by prior arrangement of the structure.
