Abstract
In the research from Chapter 3 to Chapter 5, we addressed the problem of call admission control and resource allocation for providing Quality of Service (QoS) to multimedia applications in the next generation wireless communication networks, which would evolve from the current wireless communication infrastructure. We considered two levels of QoS, i.e. the connection-level QoS, which describes the service connectivity and continuity under limited and varying wireless network conditions, and the application-level QoS, which measures the perceptual quality of a being-served connection by end users.
