This last chapter of the present volume summarizes the analysis developed above and suggests extensions to broader issues. As should be clear at this point, the focus of the book is not constitutional history, per se, but rather an analysis of a particular nation’s constitutions. This focus has affected the historical materials covered, the conclusions reached, and the generality of those conclusions.
