On the Output Elasticity of the Activities of Post Office Counters in Italy

  • Chapter
Postal and Delivery Services

Abstract

Several recent studies have begun to focus their analyses on the activities of post office counters. Post office counters represent the point of access to the network of both postal products and, for many operators, of financial services; they also represent the starting point for delivery activities, and often become themselves a point of delivery.

The views expressed reflect those of the Authors only and not necessarily those of Poste Italian S.p.A.. Authors are grateful to Philip Hatfield, Elisabetta Paolucci, Rossana Scocchera and John Waller for their comments on a previous vervious vesion of the paper, and bear the responsibility for any remaining errors and omissions.
