Abstract

This chapter deals not only with headaches and cluster headaches which occur during sleep, but also with those which are temporally linked to sleep, such as morning headaches. In terms of standard clinical reports, very few polysomnographic observations are available, making it difficult to deduce definite pathophysiological conclusions. The relative lack of data no doubt reflects the fact that practical indications for overnight recording are rare in cases of headache, even those which tend to occur at night.
