Abstract

Nearly everyone loves gadgets—especially electronic ones. Increasingly, primary-prevention practitioners are capitalizing on this popularity and are incorporating technology into their work (Table 1). This entry discusses the use of different technologies to conduct educational campaigns on an individual and group basis. It examines the existing evidence-based knowledge to determine the usefulness and the potential of these tools and their impact on health.
