Abstract
This chapter deals with the generators of movement-related activity in the Bereitschaftspotential paradigm as revealed by distributed source modeling. The chapter starts with a short overview of the developments in recording and analysis techniques in the study of the Bereitschaftspotential. This is followed by a short tutorial on source reconstruction considering individual brain anatomy from MRI and particularly distributed source modeling. After that, the studies using this modeling in time and frequency domain are presented. I conclude with some critical comments and suggestions for future research.
