Abstract

The study of electron collisions with atoms has been one of the most explored topics of the field of atomic collisions because of its well known numerous applications. There has been recently special emphasis in terms of performing ‘perfect scattering experiment’ which would provide complete quantum mechansical description of an atomic state, experimentally the goal can be said to have been achieved for the excitations of the S(L=0) and P(L=1) states of some of the atoms only. The readers are referred to the recent reviews13 on the subject.
