Abstract
Chapter 5 discussed the architectural framework of e-business management in terms of the three viewpoints: Process Viewpoint, Transaction Viewpoint, and the Infrastructure Viewpoint. Implementation of e-business management is complex due to the interplay of a range of associated factors, such as network management, systems management, and application management. It is important to integrate management process models, such as help desk with platforms for integrated management. Hence the discussion of the operation and implementation of e-business management may be broken into the following categories to facilitate understanding:
-
Realization of the service perspective of e-business management as discussed in this chapter
-
Realization of the infrastructure perspective (including network and systems management) as discussed in Part 4 (Chapter 7) of this book
