Abstract
It has been almost 15 years since the Blueprints for Violence Prevention program at the University of Colorado first identified 10 programs that met their rigorous standards for being called a proven model program. During this same period, economists developed cost-benefit models that allowed them to estimate, with a fair degree of accuracy, the likely costs and benefits that would result if these programs were adopted, in particular settings.
