Cardiac CT and MR for Adult Congenital Heart Disease

Abstract

Congenital pericardial anomalies are relatively rare. The most common abnormality is pericardial cyst. Absence of pericardium can be partial or complete. Most of these anomalies are incidentally found during surgery or imaging studies. CT and MRI are diagnostic modalities of choice in anatomical evaluation of the pericardium and detection of its pathologies.
