Abstract

To get objects centered in your field of view you do need to make sure that you have a good finder scope on your telescope and that it is correctly aligned with the main scope. This will enable you to find the object you are hunting for (or a bright object close to it) in the wide field of view. If aligned correctly, you should then be able to look through the main telescope and see the object in the higher magnified and much narrower field of the scope. A variety of finder scopes available these days in order to achieve this. All types have their advantages and disadvantages.
