Abstract
We study the mathematics of investments (regular savings) and (compound interest) loans. These two are similar: when you borrow, it is as if the lender is making an investment. Your equity when you borrow to cover a purchase is discussed. Two special types of loan, the add-on loan and the discounted loan, are explained.
