Abstract

Without a doubt you will find the Sun one of the most enjoyable and thrilling observing experiences in your astronomical pursuits. The excitement of turning a telescope skyward and “discovering” a new sunspot or witnessing first hand the eruption of a prominence, and then watching it rain back down on the Sun’s surface can be awe-inspiring. The truth is that few other bodies in the heavens offer the sheer dynamics viewed on the Sun.
