Abstract

A history is usually an after-the-fact account. Because this chapter is the story of an event that has not yet taken place, it is more a progress report and lacks the perspective of a historical essay. However, it may demonstrate some of the problems that can arise in planning and arranging a special birthday party for a society of over 6,500 members.
