Abstract

The patient was identified in the preoperative holding area and brought to the operating room after marking the affected extremity. Under general anesthesia, brachial plexus block was carried for control of postoperative pain. The patient was then positioned in a beach chair position, the head was secured and all pressure points were appropriately padded. The upper extremity was prepped and draped in the usual sterile fashion.
