Abstract

The patient was brought into the operating room and placed in a supine position. General endotracheal anesthesia was performed by the anesthesia team. The patient was given prophylactic antibiotics, a Foley was inserted, and the tourniquet was applied. All extremities were well padded. The leg was prepped and draped for surgery. The tourniquet was in fl ated to 350 mmHg. A slightly oblique median parapatellar 10 cm skin incision was carried out starting at the superior pole of the patella to end at the center of the tibial tubercle.
