Abstract

The patient was identified and the extremity marked in the preoperative holding area. He/she was brought into the operative suite and placed supine on the operating table. The patient was induced into general endotracheal anesthesia without difficulty. IV antibiotics were administered. All bony prominences of the patient were well padded and protected.

A tourniquet was placed on the patient’s left/right proximal thigh over soft roll, and the extremity was prepped and draped in the normal sterile fashion.
