Abstract

In this chapter we consider the simplest deterministic (ODE) model of population dynamics with mutation at several loci. We are interested in the scenario discussed in Chapter 1, Section 1.11, in which single-mutant variants have a fitness loss but double-mutants a gain (due to “escape”).
