Abstract
This introduction provides an overview of content in applications of the person-centered approach to a diversity of fields. Areas covered include clinical applications, education, including public and higher education with and without technology integration, children and family studies, economy and business, and conflict and constructive communication. A key feature is the presentation of concept maps for some of the larger chapters—graphical depictions of the relationships between major concepts in a field. These concept maps provide not only a concise, visual introduction, but also an enthusiastic invitation for the reader to crystalize core concepts, “bridge” them to concepts of the person-centered approach (PCA), and form new meanings.
