Abstract
Although some creatures fear the Sun’s very bright light, many thrive in the more gentle reflected light of the Moon, like dwarves, giants and even fairies. In old English mythology, the Asrais liked to bask in the light of the Moon, as they needed Moonlight to grow bigger. (Asrai were a kind of fairy that looked like mermaids with fishtails rather than legs and green hair that looked like seaweed.)
